The project phase of 2023 includes two primary trajectories, which are interwoven with one another: a research residency under Guru Kalamandalam Rama Chakyar, and the creation and production of In the Blue Houses Dreams the Mountains.

Supporting activities for this project include:

• An arts research laboratory with Guru Raman Chakyar and others on Kutiyattam and the ecological designed to workshop the script for In the Blue Houses Dreams the Mountains and to co-develop methods for mixing art forms; 

• A cultural exchange and outreach series with universities, schools, and community organizations;  

• An initiative on performance, ecology, and accessibility; and

• The development of a Research Archive with documentation of rehearsals, site research, scenography studies, and interdisciplinary investigations of mountains, climate change, and cross-cultural arts-research methods.
